I found even an easier way. (with your idea of course) you can just copy the cover from internet (so you dont have to download it to your comp) and just paste it into the white artwork box.

I have recently downloaded a music track for a ring tone to my Apple IPhone. However just new to this device the Music Track is now heard by persons calling my phone instead of the normal dial tone you would hear.
I cannot find the music track anywhere on my phone nor can I find anything in the comprehensive instructions on how to reset the dial tone.

Hope someone out there can help this techno dinasour.

This fix did not quite work for me, but I did fix it. For anyone who wants to know, here is what I did:

I had a similar problem with my iphone not showing the artwork in coverflow. It happened even for albums that itunes located the covers for. I eventually fixed the problem by going to my device, then to the music tab, and then "sync music". You get some warning, but just click ok. This will disable the "manually manage music and vidoes" box that is located on the device overview screen. After I did this, all album covers showed up with no issues. Not sure why, but it looks like it had something to do with manual syncing.

Ok, forget it - I just found out about the "make Alias" option - it works, but it's a 2-step (create alias first, then copy it where you want it), junk creator (if you don't get rid of it the "alias" will stay forever next to the source and then, when you delete the source, be forgotten there).

Not very elegant. In Windows, you use the right mouse button to drag the source anywhere - then, when you release the mouse button a small popup (gates calls it "context menu") allows you to select what you want to do copy, move, delete, create shortcut or... cancel, a welcome options, always.

I hope the MAC starts to adopt this right mouse button/context menu/right button drag thing, it's really easy and powerful. At the moment, althoigh right-mouse is starting to appear more in Leopard, that's not yet enough, we need more.

Always learn from others, It's gotta be the way ;-)

Regards
WiseMax.
