Microsoft Deepfish Browser

You’ve seen all the previews of the new Apple iPhone with its fancy new Safari web browser. Well, Microsoft isn’t standing by idly… its Live Labs group has already developed a technology preview of Deepfish, which has a lot of similar features, including full web page preview and section zoom.

I was able to get a preview of it this past week and it is most impressive, and quite fast. There are a few quirks with it: a few sites I pulled up had issues with the page footer, Flash was not functional (so YouTube videos didn’t work) and a lot of DHTML menus failed. Still, a step in the right direction and this is a technology preview, which (after all) isn’t even Alpha. I can’t wait to see this product in its final release.

If you’d like to check it out, complete their registration form and wait to hear back with your unique key to make the software function.

Best Cell Phone Videos

I stumbled upon this site which has a ton of cell phone videos that you should check out. While the domain name is a bit long to type, www.BestCellPhoneVideos.com, it’s definitely worth a look. The videos are all YouTube videos, however they are well organized into categories that make it a lot easier to view on a regular basis. My favorite, of course, is the Motorola Q videos section, but there are areas for Treo videos, Slingbox videos, the popular Motorola Razr, other Smartphones, and even cell phone carriers such as Verizon videos, Sprint videos, etc. Here’s one of the new Microsoft Deepfish browser on a Motorola Q.
