I finally figured this one out the other day and thought I’d share. Previously I had been going to www.ebay.com on my Treo and suffering through long pages that would often lock up the device. Then I searched and found they did have a mobile version. Just go to “mmm.ebay.com” in PocketIE — note that if you try to go there on your PC it won’t work.

For all you Skypers… Skype updated the Pocket PC version of Skype yesterday to 2.0. It works flawlessly on the Treo 700w. I’ve tested it with SkypeOut, SkypeIn, and text chat. BTW, you’ll want to install the version for “312 MHz CPUs“.

This story at pcmag.com posted yesterday announces that Verizon has relaxed their policy on using EVDO-enabled phones for high speed wireless access through your laptop. This means DUN (dial-up networking) is allowed through your Treo 700w. The story claims that this is not yet possible with the Treo 700w, but that is not entirely true.
June Fabrics has a product called PdaNet that allows this to happen. Their software is just $34 and it works great!
Now if they would just relax their EVDO usage policy a little…
