I did some research the other day to see if there are any extended batteries for the Treo 700w, as the 1800mAh stock battery just can’t survive a day without a boost of energy. I had dreaded doing this, because previous phones required me to get a new battery door and thus have to cart around a bigger phone.

Much to my surprise, this was not the case with the Treo 700w. There is a 2200mAh battery available, and more recently a 2400mAh from Seidio became available. I ordered one yesterday so we’ll see how it works out. The cool thing is that it is a direct replacement for the stock battery — meaning it is the exact same size, just heavier. So I didn’t have to get a new battery door. They claim it gives you 33% longer talk time. I’ll let y’all know how well it works out!
